Building up to the ultimate Vendée Globe race scheduled for November 2008, Spirit of Canada intends to take part in the IMOCA circuit, a series of transatlantic and around the world crewed and solo races.

June 1st: Race: The Transat (3rd of 3 eligible qualifiers for the Vendée Globe)
Route: Plymouth to Boston
Crew: Single handed

July 13th: Race: The Transat Québec Saint-Malo
Route: Quebec City to Saint-Malo, France
Crew: Team of 4
