Inside the Cabin During Rollover Test - May 14, 2002
In order to qualify for the Around Alone, skippers must be able to right their boats from within the cabin to simulate the situation where the boat has rolled over. Toronto Star photographer Rene Johnston captured the event by taping a camera inside the cabin and triggering it remotely.

Spirit Sails to the Boat Show - January 4, 2001
On a cold and breezy morning, Derek brings Spirit across the bay from Port Credit Yacht Club to the Western Gap, to be greeted by a crowd of helpers, media and onlookers. Despite very bouncy conditions, the tall (62') mast is safely lifted to be stored at National Yacht Club for the duration of the Show.
The boat is lifted shortly after, hosed off, and secured onto the flatbed trailer for transportation to the Show, accompanied by officers of the Metro Toronto Police.
